Free Graphic Tools on the Web
You can use these tools to create graphics for web pages on the web without using any additional software.

When you're ready to become a bit more sophisticated, look into some of the free software that's available.

    My choices for the Windows environment are Irfan View32 for an easy out of the box solution and the GIMP for Windows for something a bit more muscular. Searching at Tucows for image editors is a good place to start as well.

You need images for things all the time. Here are a few good places to find images which are in the public domain on the internet. Always check for copyright information at the site where you found the image.
