A Dolphins World

Bottlenose Dolphins are found in both Northern and southern hemispheres. Their habitat inhabits in shallow waters in coastal areas, where there are many fish.

Bottelnose Dolphins consists of mainly fish, shrimp, eels, and squid.An average dolphins lenth is 7-9ft.The male is larger than the female and weighs a lot more.

A female Bottelnose dolphin can be preagnent for 12-13 months. Most Bottelnose dolphins live for up to 37 years.

These dolphins are very active when they chase their prey, they often hunt in groups. A school of Bottelnose dolphins usually consists of around 12-30 dolphins.

They swim at a low speed of 7-8mph. Bottlenose dolphins are usually charcole gray with a slightly lighter belly. During warm weather, the belly is often a flushed pink color.

The beak is short while the dorsal fin is curved. A mature dolphin weighs 400-700 pounds.Coastal Bottlenose dolphins are found in smaller groups than offshore ones. Their scientific names are(tursiops truncatus).

Also they use echolocation to communicate and find out where they are.
