Manipulatives and Measurement Tools Used in the Institute

Teachers use these measurement tools during institute activities, and these tools are given to all participants. Teachers may buy additional materials with their spending budget. Office supplies and craft materials are also used for activities, but excluded from this list.

(Participants make and calibrate their own thermometer using a straw.)

The following items are used during the institute, but not given to the participants since we have found that most schools already have many of these materials, or the materials are readily available at local stores. In addition, participants have a spending budget to buy any of these supplies that they wish to purchase.
