Part 1

Before you start your project (experiment):

Question – What do you want to find out?

Hypothesis – What do you think will happen?  (Expected outcome)

Research – What you can learn about your project that might help you with your hypothesis

Variables – What parts of the experiment are you keeping the same?  What one thing are you changing?   (Please use variable sheet)

Materials List – What materials do you need to do your experiment?  (cups, wires, scissors, etc.)

Procedures – This is a step-by-step description of how you do your experiment.  (a how-to)

These parts must be completed BEFORE you begin your experiment.
